Another 4 hour Sunday lunch

For the birthday of Sim’s brother, we had a pierrade party – similar in idea to the crêpe party but instead of crêpes on a crêpe machine, morsels of meat are cooked on a hot stone grill.

Carnivorous.

The birthday entrée consisted of salad, avocado, eggs, smoked salmon and foie gras, while the birthday lunch consisted of veal, beef, duck and turkey accompanied by eight different sauces, mustards and mayonnaises with baked potato gems on the side. Plus yogurt, fruit, coffee and chocolate!

And don’t forget the birthday cake!

Whew! You can see why it takes around 4 hours from start to finish. Happy birthday Pierrick!
